For a research firm, analysis speed is critical. At Betimar, though, reporting had become a bottleneck. Large-scale operational and survey data were kept in static Excel files, and every reporting cycle meant rebuilding reports from scratch, by hand. Because the research repeats roughly every three months, this manual load multiplied with each new round of data.
Before the project began, the scope was clarified with the technical teams: what would be done, and how, was defined up front — ensuring a surprise-free start.
TURBOARD replaced Betimar's static approach with dynamic reporting logic. First, the source Excel formats were standardized. Then a custom script was built to transfer the data from those files into a database automatically. In data modeling, the horizontal table structure that constrained analytical flexibility was left behind for a vertical table model — where each response is held on its own row — which is far more flexible to analyze.
The result is a sustainable, automated data flow. Scattered Excel data now becomes clean, structured tables, flows in automatically each period, and leads straight to meaningful insights. To keep pace with the three-month cycle, reports are no longer built from zero; existing sets are updated and duplicated with filters. This preserves continuity between periods while removing the team's manual workload.
