E-Kalite was founded in Chicago, USA, with a search report and a chart system based on pharmaceutical data. This data service plus the visualization software is still active and prospering. We are now serving 79% of big pharmaceutical companies with TURBOARD comprising the software’s infrastructure.
We moved to a top-notch university campus in Turkey and took our place there as one of the technological innovative companies funded and supported by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey.
The search-report-chart system for pharmaceutics evolved, and we started a new initiative towards implementing a business intelligence software with our know-how and experienced team. Our 5th ongoing funded project is all about improvements with new modules. In 2015, our software became a BI software product with its brand-name: TURBOARD.
As of 2018, TURBOARD is being used by the Turkish Presidency, Turkish Ministry of Health, Turkish Exporters Association, Turkish Institute of Statistics, Ankara Greater Municipality, and many other Turkish government institutions. In all those accounts, TURBOARD was the preferred choice over other settled BI software solutions.
On the technical side, our 2016-2019 plan ended with success. Especially in Turkey as we are rapidly spreading, and flourishing in PharmaCeuticals via PharmaCircle as well. The total count of signed-in users exceeded 50K. We have expanded our business in the private sector and are now being employed in other software as OEM.
Our 2019-2022 Augmented Analytics voyage commenced. The number of corporations and big-small companies that we are serving is soaring.
All started in February 2004 in a basement in Chicago, USA, with a software specifically built for pharmaceutical companies that shows information open on the Internet in a better format that is searchable and that has appealing graphs. 2 computer engineers from top-notch university in Turkey (METU) founded E-Kalite. We kept ahead of competition in that niche information software application. We implemented the auto-complete feature before it had been implemented in major search engines. We used cutting edge technologies to make it faster and faster even when some of these technologies were in their early stages, like Solr (in 2011) and Kudu (in 2018). This pharmaceutical information software is still powered by E-Kalite. Its infrastructure converted from custom-data visualization software to TURBOARD in time. We are currently serving more than 100 companies all around the World comprising 79% of big pharma.
In 2010, we were admitted as an R&D company into METU Technopolis innovation (inside the Middle East Technical University campus). The Turkish Science and Technology Agency started funding E-Kalite in 2011. We are still on campus and commencing our 5th funded R&D project. Our projects focus on developing new modules for TURBOARD BI.
