Objective

A business intelligence platform built for growing data

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality’s Statistics and Analysis Branch Directorate set out to find a business intelligence platform that could keep pace with the municipality’s growing data volume and increasingly varied analysis needs.

Situation

A service network that reaches every corner of the city

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality’s service network reaches every corner of the city, from public transportation and emergency response to social services and energy management.

Running a city this size takes more than collecting data. It means turning information from dozens of departments into insight teams can actually use, right when they need it.

Impact

City operations, all on one platform

TURBOARD’s use across Ankara Metropolitan Municipality is as broad as the municipality’s own responsibilities. With TURBOARD, the municipality:

Tracks workforce and overtime data at municipal companies to support fairer, more efficient staffing decisions.
Monitors the condition and performance of public infrastructure such as escalators and elevators.
Analyzes energy consumption at municipal companies to guide efficiency initiatives.
Assesses public transit usage through Başkentkart data.
Tracks fire department and municipal police activity on a single platform.
Analyzes rural services and citizen support programs, extending data-driven decision-making across the city.

Data produced across different units comes together for a more complete view of city services.

Resolution

Live connections to the municipality’s core systems

After a hands-on evaluation, the team chose TURBOARD. Its ability to connect directly to live databases, and adapt easily to different departments’ reporting needs, made the difference.

Today, TURBOARD works directly with the municipality’s core systems, including the Social Services database and Başkent 153, the city’s citizen contact center. Information from multiple data sources comes together in one place, as real-time, interactive, filterable dashboards.

TURBOARD has become a daily part of the municipality’s statistics, analysis, and operations work. As departments discover new ways to put their data to use, new dashboards continue to be rolled out to meet their needs.

“In our statistics and analysis work, TURBOARD’s live database connection and advanced filtering capabilities make a real difference to how we manage our data. The regular on-site support provided during rollout, along with the team’s dedicated approach, has strengthened our operational speed and adaptation. We want to express our appreciation for this professional support, which has helped us use TURBOARD more effectively across our organization, integrate new functions into our processes, and turn our team’s expertise into lasting efficiency.”
