Roketsan automates project reporting with TURBOARD
One of the leading organizations in the defense industry, Roketsan works with TURBOARD to automate its organization-wide project reporting and make faster, data-driven decisions.
Among the pioneering organizations in the global defense industry, Roketsan designs and produces advanced missile and rocket systems. Running large-scale, complex programs, the organization’s senior management needs current, reliable, and consolidated data to make sound decisions.
The collaboration between Roketsan and TURBOARD began in 2022. In the first phase, visualizations and analyses were developed for different areas such as budget and financial reporting, human resources, procurement, and supply. This gave teams faster, easier access to the data guiding their decisions.
In 2025, Roketsan’s Project Management Office (PMO) launched a new initiative with TURBOARD to move project reporting into a modern business intelligence environment.
Until then, every report request required an intensive “data diplomacy” effort. Data was collected manually from different departments and then rebuilt in Excel for each new request. This constantly repeated process consumed significant time and human resources.
With the Roketboard project, this changed. Project reports are now generated automatically from a live data flow and can be viewed by authorized users whenever needed. Roketboard visualizations — built once and always kept up to date — replaced the Excel files that previously had to be rebuilt for every request.
Roketboard brings finance, human resources, production, and quality data together in a single structure. Project managers and owners can track the key metrics that steer their projects in real time.
Over time, Roketboard moved beyond project reporting. It evolved into an integrated Board that feeds the organization’s management, monitoring, and decision-support processes from a single center.
This approach enables more efficient use of resources, while real-time visibility of project metrics reduces the costs that delayed decisions could create for project health. Today, around 350 users at Roketsan benefit from Roketboard.
The data Roketboard uses comes from Oracle Database, the database of Roketsan’s Oracle ERP system. Once transferred to TURBOARD, this data continuously feeds the visualizations and analyses.
What does Roketsan gain with Roketboard?
Automates project reporting end to end: instead of manually gathering data across departments and preparing separate Excel reports for each request, up-to-date visualizations can be accessed at any time.
Monitors project health in real time: finance, HR, production, and quality data are evaluated together to keep a close watch on each project’s current status, reducing the costs that delayed decisions could create.
Supports decisions with consolidated data: project managers and owners can follow the metrics that drive each project from a single view, enabling faster, data-driven decisions.
Improves resource efficiency: teams can focus on strategic analysis and value-adding work instead of repetitive manual reporting.
The collaboration between Roketsan and TURBOARD, now several years strong, grows each year. By expanding into new units and use cases, TURBOARD continues to support Roketsan’s data-driven management approach.
